The new universal interior separation

Complete flexibility, safety and ease of installation all in one
Depending on accessibility, choose the side from which you want to fit the shelf and whether it is easier to access the inner or outer radius of the energy chain in order to release the crossbars. The shelves are locked in place by means of the integrated slider and automatically when the crossbar is fitted. Thanks to positive-locking, assembly is possible with virtually no force. Locking is simple and fast but the shelves are held securely in place. To unlock, release the crossbar on the inner or outer radius, depending on accessibility. The E4Q e-chains can be opened quickly and without tools. After the crossbar has been released, the shelf can be unlocked by means of the slider and then simply pulled out.

E4Q e-chains as a ready-to-install energy supply system in SAMAG machine

Samag Machine Tools from Saalfeld/Saale has designed a 5-axis universal machine for tool and mould making. The y- and z-axes of the long-bed machine tool have a travel of 1,000mm, the x-axis a travel of up to 7,500mm. The machining area is usually subject to a very high load of swarf and cooling lubricants. To ensure a high level of reliability, the engineers use cables from the chainflex range (including CF270 and CF 27) and energy chains from the E4 series (E4Q.82).

E4Q for safe and low-vibration operation of the DMF 200|8 milling machine from DMG MORI

Despite high milling speeds of up to 20,000 revolutions per minute, the DMF 200|8 milling machine from DMG MORI operates with maximum accuracy in the micrometre range. This means that highly complex geometric workpieces can be machined with the help of the five-axis milling machine. Accordingly, secure guidance of cables and hoses is essential to counteract vibrations or shocks. For this reason, DMG MORI decided in favour of the E4Q energy chain series.

Optional noise dampening (only upon request) - New type of concealed system for noise reduction. Can be retrofitted at any time. Rubber elements attached to the horizontal stop-dogs additionally dampen the impact noise of the already very quiet e-chains. 17dB(A) less noise compared to the 4040C series.

Two vertically and two horizontally arranged stop-dogs per chain link ensure greater rigidity in the E4Q and therefore a greater unsupported length and higher additional loads are possible. 20% more stability compared to the E4.1.

Crossbars (e-chain)/lid (e-tube) - Completely tool-free opening and closing of the e-chain and e-tube. Crossbars and lids/shelves lock in the side panel for even greater holding forces. The e-chain/e-tube can be filled in significantly less time. 40% faster filling compared to E4.1.

Saving weight - Due to new research, material could be left out where it has no function for the load on the e-chains. This was done both on the inside, between the stop-dogs, and on the outside. Rounded shapes inspired by nature were used for optimisation. 10% less weight compared to E4.1.

High-performance test in the igus test laboratory: Continuous load test

In the continuous load test, the E4Q.58 and E4.56 are operated under real conditions over a long period of time. The aim is to determine the maximum service life of the products and to offer guaranteed reliability.

Result: Depending on the application, the E4Q.58 has an approx. 35% higher load capacity compared to the E4.56.
