Liners solve wear problems in milling machine

To reduce the wear on its milling machine, the manufacturer relies on our tribotape sliding foils made of the material iglidur V400. With minimal intervention on the machine, this was an extremely economical solution that has now been running failure-free for a year.

In addition to wear resistance, iglidur V400 impresses with temperature resistance up to +200°C and high media resistance.

Significantly higher wear resistance than standard materials

The liners were able to prove their high wear resistance in the igus test laboratory. When comparing their wear with that of a stainless-steel pin, we found that all four tribotapes performed up to 10 times better than PTFE glass fabric and PTFE bronze compounds. In addition, the materials are abrasion-resistant and free from lubrication and maintenance.

The tribotape materials are easy to process - you can cut them to size with scissors - and have a self-adhesive back as an option, which results in almost unlimited application possibilities.
