Educational robot

The rapid development of digitisation is fundamentally changing production processes and is therefore demanding new skills and competencies. It is therefore important that tomorrow's specialists and managers are prepared for the new challenges. The Low Cost Automation training program starts right there, as practical relevance is guaranteed. The reason for this is that robots developed and produced for industry can be used in training courses. This ensures a seamless entry into industrial robotics. Moreover, safety, as igus® products are CE-compliant and thus meet applicable safety standards and, finally, low-cost solutions, whether individual components for DIY or complete systems - adapt the scope of solutions to your requirements.

The Industry 4.0 model factory

The FH Aachen has developed the demonstrator "CMC - Car Manufacturing Cube" for the Industry 4.0 model factory. The project's focus is the representation of Industry 4.0 ideas, developments and solutions, by means of standard industry automation components.
  • Cost-effective integration possible
  • Economic challenges of the industry were taken into account
  • Design flexibility

A robot to play with, but still not a toy

With a great deal of dedication and attention to detail, students at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences have adapted the well-known and competitive Make 'n' Brake game into the world of robotics. Thanks to the articulated arm robot used, the robot exactly replicates a tower
  • High modularity of the system
  • Hardware can communicate with external software
  • In-house developments such as grippers can be easily integrated
  • Fully automated construction process
