The 3D printing filament igumid P190 is reinforced with carbon fibre and extremely strong and rigid. This makes it ideal for strong structural components, special mounting brackets for energy chains and lightweight construction. It was developed specifically as a high-strength material partner for iglidur i190 to combine highly resilient specifications with particularly durable, friction-optimised properties in multi-material printing. Due to this combination, the material can be used flexibly for demanding, weight-saving designs.
Due to its abrasive fibres, the printer used to process the filament should have a wear-resistant (e.g. hardened) nozzle and extruder pinion. The filament is very sensitive to moisture and should be stored in a dry container and actively dried.
You can find design instructions for multi-material printing here in our blog.
