The robolink® articulated arm robot grips an ice scraper with the help of a vacuum end effector and moves to the automatic moulding machine. There are also suction cups on the back of the end effector. This allows the arm to pick up a finished overmoulded ice scraper, turn 180 degrees and place the next blank. Finally, the robot arm places the finished ice scraper on a conveyor belt. Simultaneous removal and loading in one cycle saves time.
This automation solution is easy to operate and can even be implemented by IT laymen after just a few hours of familiarisation. The matching robot controller, fully integrated into a control cabinet as a DIN rail version, controls the stepper motor. The lightweight design of the robot also reduces energy consumption and requires only 1.67 square metres of work space.
